The last couple of weeks, I’ve been working on pulling together the details for the Abstract Artists’ Group of New England (AAGNE) to exhibit at the UNH Law School in Concord, NH. Organizing a group show is always an interesting proposition and this is no exception. Actually, I’ve been very lucky with this show. The contact at the law school has been doing this for years, so she’s cheerful, helpful and well-organized. And the group itself is full of people willing to help. Even though the venue is quite a hike for most of our members, we’ll have excellent participation in the show and excellent help with all the work involved.
We’ll be hanging the show, “Driven to Abstraction” on September 7th and the show will remain up through October 29th. I think we’ll have about 15 artists showing work that ranges from small to large, includes watercolors, oils, acrylics and mixed media and covers a wide range of styles and interpretations of the term “abstract art”.
