One of my projects for the day is to go over all of my notes from the Entrepreneurial Exchange on Friday, May 14th. This one day event is billed by MicroCredit-NH as “the premier training and networking conference for New Hampshire’s smallest businesses”.

It began with the keynote address by Betsy Bolan of “Survivor: Samoa” and went on to workshops by Ann Connors of AdviCoach and Link Moser of Windhill Design. Ann spoke on grassroots and guerilla marketing, including social media. Link focused more on websites, but also discussed other online marketing tools. Although each presentation was less than 2 hours, they covered an incredible amount of material in a way that was clear and easy to understand. If you have the opportunity to attend a workshop or talk by either of these people, go for it.

It’s sometimes difficult to know ahead of time if a workshop will really fit your needs. At the end of the day, the consensus seemed to be that they really did an excellent job of presenting information that we could all use. So thank you to MicroCredit and thank you to their sponsors – Citizens Bank Foundation, FairPoint Community First and the New Hampshire Business Review. There is another one planned for August in the Plymouth area.
